Experiences of starting Evorel Sequi patches for perimenopause while still having mostly regular periods

I’ve just recently been prescribed Evorel Sequi patches by my GP for my perimenopause symptoms (brain fog, the rage, weight gain, aching joints), but I still have mostly regular periods. Can anyone offer a perspective on how HRT has been for them? What has it helped with? Any drawbacks they’ve experienced? Am a little nervous about starting it. Thanks!

I started them a few months ago, still have regular periods also. They have been great. I have definitely noticed a reduction of my symptoms (similar to yours) Only drawback is peeling the old patches off, ouch!

Mine stopped or certainly helped with my symptoms, especially the night sweats and anxiety. I was on cyclical for 3 years. I still had “periods” throughout/ breakthrough bleeds. However by the end of the 3 years I was experiencing a lot of out of cycle bleeding, 17 day cycles and very heavy, plus I was really aware of changing the patch and felt like my moods were swinging wildly. They’ve now put me on continuous and although my moods have settled, i’m still bleeding every 25-28 days and my night sweats are back. The evorel patches really helped me in the start although I think I should have had my dose adjusted as it never got quite right for me.

Ooh, I've literally just started. 3rd patch on today. Blimey, they could have made the combi patch packets look a BIT more different to the oestrogen-only, couldn't they?

@thenewaveragebear1983 do you mean you noticed when you changed to the combi patch, or you just noticed symptoms when you changed any patch?

Thank you all, that all sounds encouraging-am crossing fingers that they help me feel more like I used to, in some way. I have the baby oil on standby for the sticky marks left by the patch!

Oh sorry, @TheSpottedZebra i meant when I went from nothing to the patches for the first time they really helped but gradually over a couple of years I noticed my moods swinging so much between the two patches. They were great at first though. Now i’m on continuous I am much more stable moods wise.
