Anyone with arthritis found Conti patches worsen joint pain?

Has anyone with arthritis had experience on the Conti with regards to joint pain?

I'm currently on the Everol Sequi and my joint pain and energy much mproved on the Everol 50 for the first two weeks. I felt great.
A few days in on the Conti and I can barely walk and had a major flare out of the blue six hours after putting on the patch.

If anyone has experienced similar, what changes if any did you make to your HRT to help?

Same but worse without patch at all.

Wondering if switching to Utrogestan could help. The pain levels are worse pre-HRT.

There is a link between oestrogen increasing flares of lupus and rheumatoid arthritis so if you suspect the joint pain may be due to either of these this might explain things and you may wish to try and get a referral to rheumatology or ask your rheumatologist about it if you are already under one. I have lupus and I cannot tolerate any form of HRT for this reason, it makes my lupus much, much worse and many in the lupus forums I’m in find the same thing.

The progesterone in those patches gives me fluid retention in 1 knee and hip. Really annoying.. also makes me feel like a zombie! I’d try micronised progesterone and gel instead.

It sounds like its the progesterone type in the conti patch as its the same oestrogen in the everol 50 and the everol conti. It didn't agree with me either because it gave me too much energy and I couldn't sleep past 4am.

I swapped to everol 50 and utrogestan and feel much better.
