So I’ve just recently started vaginal estrogen, it’s the pessaries I use.

next week, I’m going away with my newish partner, has anyone experienced good intimacy after starting vaginal estrogen? I’m worried incase I’m sore etc.

No answers for you sorry. Use lube. I hear "yes" is good. Also they do moisturiser.

I'm more worried that it's bad for a partner to go down on. I don't use it if I'm having sex.

IME the cream, inside and out works better than the pessaries which can be a bit drying.

Yep, I agree. I’m always surprised they even prescribe the pessaries when the cream is much better in terms of moisturising and can be used internally (with the applicator) as well as externally. If someone has issues with dryness they’re going to have issues dissolving a pessary.

I was initially put in the pessaries for symptomless very early VA. I used them because the gynaecologist recommended it and so did everyone on here. After 2 years they started causing irritation so I swapped to the cream which was instantly better.

Also op, get a good lubricant gel. I use the YES lubricant. Any partner worth their salt will be happy to bring this into things to make it comfortable for you.
