Perimenopause or true feelings? I want my husband to just go away!

i can only relax when my husband is not in the house - I think my resentfulness and annoyance with him is to do with perimenopause as I’m deeply in that at the moment, but how do you know if it’s how you really feel or not?

I have an overwhelming urge to move out and live on my own in a cottage in the country with just a dog & a tiny garden.

I feel as though he’s judging me all the time. I can’t relax. I want him to just go away and let me deal with life all by myself.

Can you have a weekend away see how you feel? Are you taking anything for menopause? X

I should definitely try that - thank you. It’s just finding a reason to go without having to explain it to him that’s the problem.

I’m not taking any HRT yet. I have the opportunity to start a progesterone patch, but I’m fearful. Do you think that could help with those feelings?

Dear god try some HRT. You may genuinely be fed up with your husband, but try the HRT first.
Although if he WFH all the time wanting him out of the house is completely understandable 😵

You shouldn't have to find a reason. It's OK to say you fancy some time to yourself.

Yes it’s sounds very like peri is causing you to feel so strongly, but only you know how annoying he really is. I struggle with all people in general including my kids! Definitely get yourself onto HRT, there are lots of options not just patches, speak to your doc! And book that weekend away if you can…

Yes definitely try hrt, it was a game changer. I also take some multi vitamins. Collagen too I was a skeptic about it until I stopped taking it and realised it was actually doing something.
you don’t have to tell him what you’ve told us but say I’m finding things a bit difficult at the minute. I need a couple of days away at a spa to relax .
if it is him then your time away will cement it and at least you will know.
