I am 55 and I entered perimenopause about 10 years ago.

Is anyone on any natural remedies for menopause?
I'm suffering with side effects such as extreme fatigue, brain fog (I cannot find simple words or retain any information) heart palpitations, hot flushes, etc
I'm trying natural tablets for a few months and if they don't work the gynaecologist will put me on HRT.
Yuk I feel horrible at the moment

Look at the benefits of HRT on bones, heart etc and consider it.

Honestly, don't waste your time and money faffing about with natural remedies if your Dr is happy to prescribe HRT.

Thanks for your comments. I am really sceptical about these natural remedies. I think i need the hard stuff 😆🤷‍♀️

Nothing else is going to replace the music hormones except hrt. Unless there's a medical reason that you can't have it, I wouldn't hesitate.

Hiya,

I've not gone the HRT route. I did the first six years of peri with only supplements -
Menopace
Magnesium
Fish oil

Then my anxiety got worse and I'm not that sort of person and didn't like it, so I decided to try HRT. But soon I got lumps in my stomach and they were fibroids. I had a scan and looked them up and it said 'cheap, mass produced oestrogen' causes them, and (it was a few mumsnet threads) the advice was to stop HRT immediately. So I did and they have gone away, and I'm guessing that's it for me and HRT.

We eat very well, I fast, I take collagen now as well, I sleep well and we do weights. I changed normal Menopause for one with calcium.

I'm doing fine tbh. Just a different POV for anyone who might not want to or cant take HRT, like me.

I am on HRT plus antidepressants and loads of supplements. Sleep is better, anxiety is better but tiredness and brain fog is still a challenge. Honestly I think if you can take HRT you should. It has so many long term benefits as well as the day to day ones.
