How would you describe perimenopause and all its glory to your other half.

The low mood, tiredness, anxiety, not feeling yourself - as good as DH can be, he just doesn’t get it, and thinks I’m tired, which I’am, but it’s more than that, I just can’t articulate it.

How about sharing the attached with him https://menopausesupport.co.uk/?page_id=13696

Under the resources section there are also a couple of symptom checkers, one for general menopause the other for vaginal atrophy /GSM

If he is aware about the menstrual cycle; the mood swings it contains, the pain, the struggle then you could refer all those signs and relate to them that perimenopause is similar and could be said as the different phase of life for a women. If you could explain this then he might get it.

Just tell him to imagine that his testosterone level dropped off a cliff. It’ll hit him at about age 50

I read the menopause brain by Lisa Missconi though a random recommendation on here . I’d recommend to any woman or man.

If he would never read it or listen to it on audible then if you did it may help you articulate what’s happening better and from other sources I’d read I found it so much more positive if that’s any use to you.
