Using Ovesse alongside HRT in perimenopause for recurrent UTIs?

Can i use ovesse (vaginal oestrogen) when in perimenopause and on HRT and under 50?
Having recurrent UTIs and am convinced the menopause is to blame. Have obtained some of the cream but am now a bit scared to take!

@Hoppity80 I'm pretty sure it's fine because it's so localised and low dose. But best to check with your Dr and get it prescribed with your HRT.

Are you sure it's UTIs? Or more of an irritable bladder? Either way D-Mannose is worth a try. Take daily for a few weeks and once symptoms are better take to deal with any flare-ups.

I was prescribed both under 50 due to early perimenopause and still take both now aged 60. But surely best to check with your GP if you are worried?

Yes. Not only can you use it, but you should be using it. The vaginal estrogen is not systemic so isn't increasing your bodywide estrogen levels on top of your HRT. There have been several recent studies that say that vaginal estrogen greatly reduces UTI's in women. I think the NICE recommendations are to prescribe vaginal estrogen as a first choice in preventing UTI's.

I gave a bonus tube I got to my mum who's never had HRT (was in the middle of the scare) to use to help protect her from the genotourinary issues older women often suffer from.

Definitely tey this cream. It is totally fine to use with HRT
