Has anyone found help for severe luteal phase symptoms without HRT?

I wonder if anyone can help. I feel so scared to tell anyone and upset because there is nothing I can do about it.

I used to enjoy both parts of my period cycle in different ways. Now the luteal phase comes with a moody sensitive low mood and low energy. I find it very hard to put into words. I'm angry. Frustrated. Brain foggy. Feel anxious. Low level paranoid. Have to work hard to keep negative thoughts out which means keeping all thoughts out and rage scrolling my phone.

I cannot have HRT, please do not ask me why, I just cannot. My consultant told me that I can when I am in menopause. I mean I am contemplating a hysterectomy just to get back to feeling me.

I tried antidepressants and put 3 stone on. They also made me tired.

So I am fat now. And tired from being fat. And have no motivation to exercise or do anything except for waste my life for the next 5 - 10 years until my periods stop.

The only thing that gets anything done is taking my adhd meds.

Has anything else been invented for this hormonal shit show.

I took this for something else but it did help with my PMS. You have to take it for a month or so to see the effects and it’s not cheap.
The ingredient is Oxaloacetate if you can find it elsewhere cheaper

I’m not on HRT atm, so I’m looking into other options, including menopause clinics that take a more holistic approach. They might have specialists who can help with PMS.
I'm currently taking omega 3, vit D and magnesium. I'm also doing some gentle exercise and getting out in the fresh air. I think it helps me feel less stressed and may lower my cortisol levels.
I've got a chronic condition, so I have to be careful what I take.

Interesting. Do you have a link to the ones you took?

Hmm I am not sure. I take an immune suppressant that blocks a cellular pathway and this seems to activate the pathway so may interfere with its effectiveness. Bloody annoying.

There are only about a couple of thousand people in the world in same position as me so unlikely one of them will read this.

Im waiting to have the jaydess fitted with local anaesthetic. Its tsken 6 months for the referral etc. On the plus side I came off my anti depressant in the mean time so at least I can properly test the effect of the coil.

It looks like its multivitamins and nature.

There is PMDD forum on Reddit that has loads of advice from people who've had all sorts of experience. I believe they have a long list of things to try on their description page. Good luck op it's a bloody nightmare. I'm tricycling the combined pill which isn't perfect but is better than my natural cycle with PMDD, and I forgot pills 2 days in a row so I started early and it's bloody miserable.

Thank you. It feels better to give it a name as I never had it before.

I would usually get one hour of rage or hyperactivity, go for a brisk walk or cry, then have my period. Not ten + days of it.

Will check out Reddit.
