At 64 Im past the menopause, still on hrt which is great but over the last few years I feel like Ive died.
I dont have any motivation or interest in anything.
Im wondering if I should try testosterone. Im sure its hormonal...or lack of.
Has anyone found testosterone woke them up?

Hi op. It woke up my libido but did nothing for energy levels or interest in the world. Those are still totally lacking.

I take androfeme and it definitely gave me more energy and cleared my brain fog.

Testosterone AND exercise is the sweet spot :)

If you do both, you WILL gain muscle, which in turn raises your metabolism, & lowers your resting heart rate

You’ll have more energy definitely.

Start the testosterone now - and get training just as soon as you can.

Even a 20 second plank and 10 squats every day will start building muscle; any muscle increase will help your overall health, so just go for it

I’m excited for you! X

It hasn't worked for me.

Do you take testosterone or DHEA? I’ve been suggested DHEA, both systemic and the vaginal pessaries. Is anyone using this and if so at what dosage?

Doodledoggle · 03/09/2026 05:19

@Melassa i didn't know dhea could be prescribed here. That's interesting. I could have done with that in my 30s pre HRT!
