Stupid hormones making you do stupid stuff

I'm starting to realise I need to consider HRT. One of the main reasons is that I have the impulse control of a toddler.

I've never thrown anything out of a window because I'm a grown up. But today I was fantasising about throwing crumpled up paper balls out of the bedroom window! Why? For "fun" apparently.

I cannot emphasise enough how much will power it took not to. In the end I had to close the window and take the key downstairs.

I have many other examples that are living up to the crazy peri/menopausal woman stereotype.

What stupid things have your hormones made you do that make you just shake your head.

I knew i needed to try HRT when the urge to drive into a brick wall was absolutely overwhelming!

For me it was the overwhelming anxiety. I had a full blown panic attack just because I needed to go buy a loaf of bread. HRT has helped

I threw myself at a much younger man. I’m married, he’s married and I don’t even fancy him. He was just nice to me. I’m still utterly mortified about it and went and got HRT pretty immediately after. I don’t know what possessed me and I didn’t even want to have sex with him. Even just typing this brings back the utter humiliation

Not menopause related but that mid cycle peak in oestrogen and testosterone commonly made me a bit of an animal 😂

We are all, male and female, ruled by hormones to a greater or lesser extent because they are what keep us going.

I f88cked up and made our family move house because I felt weird and sad and panicky and out of control. I can't describe it ... I can't really articulate why :(
I was crying a lot and felt my life was at an end. All meaning was gone. It was like a panic attack or something.
We lost about £70k selling our lovely home and moving to a worse house plus it disrupted our lives.
Over 10 years later I still bitterly regret selling up and moving house.
I ask myself WHY WHY WHY over and over.
HRT helped me level off the panicky moods.
