Perimenopausal rage - would higher Evorel dose/different HRT help?

I feel like I’m permanently in that week before my period. Unreasonably (or reasonably?!) annoyed by the general public and the stupid things they do. Less so my family.

I’m 45. I’ve got the mirena coil which I’ve had for 4 years. I’m on 75 Evorel patches (i.e. 1.5 patches changed twice weekly). Have been on it for 8 months. Regular night sweats but variable and it’s been so hot it’s difficult to tell how much is the heat and how much is the perimenopause. I’m taking vitamin D daily and a multivitamin.

The Evorel was prescribed for brain fog - specifically making spelling and grammatical errors I would never normally make. That aspect has improved but the general inability to find words is still present.

I came off sertraline which I been taking for about 6 years because I didn’t feel like it was making any difference, which was backed up when I stopped taking it and I didn’t worry any more than I would have done when on it.

Life is stressful at the moment - Mum in hospital, two pre-teen kids, a responsible and demanding job plus DH does similar, house renovations etc. but tbh that feels like what everyone else has on their plate too.

Is it worth talking to the GP about upping the Evorel or is this just it now? Are there other forms of HRT I could try that might work better?

My night sweats disappeared at 100mcg, but Fyi you can get a 75 patch, you don't have to cut them.

I would also consider getting a new mirena fitted.

The brain fog never goes away, even with testosterone!

Also I haven't had any night sweats even in the heat. I've been hot but not had rolling sweats drenching me like they used to do.

There is a difference.
