Any tips for removing marks left by menopause patches?

How do I get the marks from patches off my thigh? I’ve just gone from gel to patches.

I shower daily but they’ve left a mark. Any tips?

i assume you mean the sticky residue left around the edge of the patch? If so you need a surgical adhesive remover spray. Appeel is the one I use. Expensive but it’s lasted a long time.

Or for a cheaper option - nail varnish remover

I asked this last month… and the advice was rub the patch you have just removed over the sticky lines. I was sceptical but it actually does work! Then apply new patch, and repeat next time.

Baby oil - cheap and easy. No need to buy special removers which presumably are oil based anyway.

Facecloth, rub hard to get the sticky off when your skin is warm in the shower/ bath.

I wasn’t able to remove and was showering at the time. I saw some fake tan remover on the side and thought I’d give it ago - it came straight off! 😊

I just use a scrub mitt from Amazon. The ones to take off fake tan in the shower. When used with shower gel they remove the black marks within a few seconds.

Eye make up remover works as well.

Another vote for baby oil and a brisk rub with the towel after your shower.

Baby oil here too. I have very dry skin and psoriasis so I get the bonus of it helping with that in the areas I use it.

I just have a scratch at them in the shower and that removes them. I also switched from my thigh to my bum (because they kept coming loose and someone on here suggested it). Not only do they stay on better, the marks are significantly reduced.

I wear patches over my Dexcom sensors and they're a bitch to remove. Nail varnish remover on a cotton pad is the best thing I've found.

I use the patch Ive just taken off and scrape it along the black lines and they come off

Can i be nosy and ask why you went from gel to patches? I've got an hrt consultation in a few weeks and am trying to educate myself!
