Can you try to conceive while taking HRT in perimenopause?

Can you ttc on hrt ? I think im in perimenopause (43) although blood tests are all ‘normal’ (not even near cut off points so GP says I’m not but I feel Iam)
I’m more exhausted than ever and my PMT is awful. Cycles are still regular but 28 days for the last 2 years and I was previously always 32 days for my whole life since starting then so it’s a change I’m sure is peri.

We’ve been ttc no luck for 2 years and moving on to ivf with donor eggs but would hrt help balance hormones im wondering if its worth trying that first for a few months ? Or are you not able to ttc on hrt ?

Yes you can try to conceive.

I'm not sure if you mean will HRT help?

Hrt won't replace eggs.
What have your investigations shown about your ovarian reserve? Have you had the AMH test?

I think you need to consult your fertility team and see what advice they have.

Alternatively, if you can afford it just for advice, not IVF, you might want to see a good fertility consultant privately for advice. Obviously private IVF is expensive but for £300 you could get 45 mins with a top fertility consultant for advice.

I have no idea but think you need to ask the ivf clinic you’re using?

Yes my AMH is very high but I’ve had a Pcos diagnosis in the past. Antral follicle count scans always high too so a great reserve but likely just a lot of rubbish old eggs sadly.
