More hot flushes this summer

Hi
Do hot flushes happen more when it’s really hot? I’ve noticed I’ve been getting them more in this heatwave, and I’m trying not to move about too much because I feel sweaty.

I think you are just hot in a heatwave. Its not a hot flush...

Yes I think so, I’ve been struggling, I’m constantly in front of my fan when I’m not working, and if I move I’m a sweaty mess, haven’t done any proper housework in ages it seems.

I find that extremes of temperature make my flushes less noticeable. For example using the sauna or experiencing a heatwave seems to help. For me, hot weather doesn’t impact the frequency of hot flushes.

It's the heat around 3-4am it's waking me up.

I seem to be getting them more at the moment.

They were mild earlier this year, but I didn’t expect it to happen more often than usual.. I’ve read this morning that during peri our temperature regulation just doesn’t work as smoothly as it used to. Our meno brains start overreacting to the heat, which is why hot flushes and sweating can feel so much more frequent and intense.
