Evorel conti no longer working well

I have been on Evorel conti for about a year and certain symptoms that were under control are now not so good, mainly joint pain.

i hate creams which is one of the reasons i chose patches. I am also on the mini pill which affects what progesterone you can take.

one doctor said you could potentially up the dose of Evorel conti by adding another half a patch however looking online this does not seem to be an official dose. I am seeing another doctor on Monday so unsure if they will be of the same view.

I would like to retain the patch if I can but what are my options? Thanks

Is Everol conti the one where you take separate progesterone?

If so that's the one I'm on. What dose do you use? I have 100mcg.

What are the returning symptoms?

I was on evorel sequi 50s 2 weeks per month and evorel conti for the 2nd fortnight for around a year then found symptoms returning. Is this the regime you are on?

I was then prescribed evorel sequi 75s and rather than conti patches which contain both estrogen and progestogen, the doctor prescribed 2 utrogestan 100mg tablets daily for the 2nd fortnight to take alongside the 75 evorel sequi patch. I was on the mini pill at the same time as both these regimes.

I am now estrogel along with utrogestan and find lots more relief from this.

@Doodledogglei think so but my progesterone comes from the mini pill. It’s primarily joint pain returning.

@JazzyAmbs conti only comes in one strength (50) so you probably need 75 Oestogen only patch and separate progesterone. When symptoms come back it is usually the oestrogen that needs increasing.

@Christine0708 thanks do you know how they give the progesterone?
