Utrogestran question

Hi all - I have just changed my Utrogestran to one capsule per day from the two week regime where I was having a bleed . So I’ve gone from taking 2 capsules every day for 12 days to taking every day . This is because I was fed up with having a breakthrough bleed at my age ! 55- and was finding them heavy and painful . I am post menopausal now so have been put on the continuous regime .

However, I’m about a week into taking one per day and I’m having an awful breakthrough bleed! I’m wondering why this is? Also, I’m hoping it’s not going to continue! Should I stay on this once a day regime?

I had this although I'm in a chemical menopause, mine did stop give it another week. I took mine vaginally tho.

It took a few months for my breakthrough bleeds to stop. Give it time.

@rubyslipperss when first going on continuous HRT you can have irregular bleeding for upto 6 months as your womb lining settles.

Thanks all- I seem to remember I’ve tried it before and the same thing happened so I went back to my regular regime… ok I’ll give it a while, just wasn’t prepared for it so be so heavy.

Have you thought of an ablation?
I had one at 37 and haven’t had a bleed since.
