Menopause patches and recurring low mood during the second half of cycle

Hi, I started on the evorel sequi patches at the beginning of March. They have helped with a lot of things, I then had an unintentional break from them for about 10 days and went downhill emotionally very badly. I've now been back on them a while but I haven't really settled and have really down days that appear to coincide with the second set of patches in each cycle. I'm just looking for some experience or advice before I speak to the GP again. Thank you in advance

I hated the progesterone phase. Exactly like you.

I didn’t use patches long before switching to oral progesterone. Now I’m of the age where GP switched me to continuous and I don’t notice the same ‘downs’ that came with the peaks and troughs.

Some women take it vaginally which can lessen symptoms. It’s off licence and your GP may want you to try the oral first.

But you have options, have a chat to GP or meno nurse.

Thank you @SoScarletItWas. I've only just realised the pattern. Do you think it's worth sticking it a little longer to make sure that's the issue? I wasn't sure if I should keep a diary for a few weeks or just tackle it now. I'm on a progesterone phase and don't feel like I can think clearly.
