Hi. i am 46f, with implanon in situ for 2.5 yrs, and its really pissing me off. periods all over the place, heavy bleeds, lots of cramping. feeling miserable. thing is, i don't know how much is the implant and how much is perimenopausal symptoms of periods changing etc. partner awaiting the snip so whilst contraception won't be needed soon, i'd still like to sort these periods out. anyone else like this? tia x

I’m a similar age with an implant of 3 years and in suspected perimenopause. I know it’s no comfort to you but I get practically no bleeding, maybe 1-2 days every 4 months. What’s normal for one is not normal for another though! Have you spoken to your doctor?
