Coming off HRT

Hello, I am currently on hrt for perimenopause been on it a year now and i do feel its working but me periods are all over the shot at the moment.

I was wondering if anyone has chosen to come off hrt and managed ok ?

Well your symptoms will unfortunately come straight back again as it's only been a year.

Why not ask about your options for regulating your periods such as the minipill or Mirena coil?

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I cant take the mini pill and had coil before and it didnt agree with me.

What sort of hrt?
A sequential type should reset your periods so they become a monthly withdrawal bleed- the same as the bleed in a Pill break .

If this isn't happening you probably need your HRT tweaking.

If you're still in peri you've a long way to go!
My symptoms didn't start will my early 50s and I was almost post menopausal. I've tried stopping HRT twice after more than 15 years on it and the night sweats etc are still there.
