Hi all, had the mirena coil fitted about 4 weeks ago for both the hormone but also in an attempt to lighten my periods as my iron stores are really low from having increasingly heavy periods over the past 3/4 years. I'm on prescribed iron (210mg a day). Anyway I came on about 2.5 weeks ago, light to start then really heavy and now a steady light flow. My periods only usually last a week at most. I am totally wiped out, can hardly wake up in the mornings, no energy throughout the day, dizzy, headache and just feel floored.
How long was it before others periods stopped totally when having the coil fitted? I'm not sure how long i can handle feeling like this as it's really impacting my day to day life.
