Lenzetto v Oestrogel

I’m wondering about Lenzetto.

I’ve been on 3 pumps of Oestrogel for several years and it works well enough, but…
It covers a lot of skin which I therefore cannot moisturise, and I need to moisturise.
It takes forever to dry before I can get dressed. I’m not looking forward to chilly winter mornings!

Is it worth asking to try Lenzetto?

Yes!! With bells on.

NO IDEA why everyone isn’t on it. 2 puffs on your arm, absorbed in 30 secs. What’s not to like?

All I can think is that it costs them more?

I'm new to all this but on Lenzetto, the pharmacist actually suggested it then I consulted my GP snd another doctor specialising on women's health. (I like to know all the info before making a decision).

I'm glad I went with it as it's remarkably fuss free, the pharmacist, who is a man, actually said it was the best as it dries in a few seconds which is true. I think it would work for you.

I was using Evorel 75 patches but became allergic to the adhesive and had to stop. My GP swapped me to Lenzetto but even on the maximum dose, it wasn’t controlling my symptoms. I’ve now changed to 3 pumps daily of Oestrogel which works but as you say, it’s a pain in the neck if you need to use a body moisturiser as well. I’ve started using the gel in the mornings then a body lotion just before bed.

I had to have the gel for a bit in lockdown when all the supplies were buggered up. No thank you! Couldn’t wait to get back on Lenzetto. So easy.

Lenzetto here (never tried the gel) and it’s great. I spray just before cleaning my teeth at night and it’s dry before I’m done. Very fuss free!

I'm also a convert to Lenzetto but after struggling with Evorel patches, which didn't stick well.

It dries so quickly and I absorb it better than gel or patches.

@Aparecium There is advice from the BMS online about women using 3 or 4 pumps of gel which is you can split the dose morning and late evening. so 2 pumps then 1 pump.

I've only ever used gel.

Each spray delivers 90 microliter of transdermal spray, solution containing 1.53 mg of estradiol

1 pump of gel is 0.75mgs estrogen. so 1 spray of Lenzetto is more than twice 2 pump of gel..

It’s not a straight like-for-like comparison. When I switched from patches to Oestrogel, I was using 75s but one pump of gel was woefully inadequate and I seiftly increased to 3 pumps.

That's right.

Gel and patches are not equivalents.

A 75mgs patch is a medium to high dose. It's not the same as 0.75 mgs in gel (1 pump.)

Did your GP say it was?

1 pump of gel= 25mgs patch
2 pumps= 50 mgs patch
3 pumps= 75mgs patch
4 pumps= 100mgs patch

The maximum amount with Lenzetto is 3 sprays a day- this is on their website. Compared with gel where the max is 4 pumps a day.
