So sick of menopause body - specifically stubborn horrid middle fat which I’ve never struggled with and now despite good diet and exercise is just getting bigger. Clothes don’t fit any more. I just don’t feel like me.

This popped up and wonder whether anyone has tried it?

apparently it’s all to do with raised cortisol levels?

anyone tried this?

No, but👀

No. It's pseudo science (AKA bollocks.)

Because weight loss is 80% food and 20% exercise. Doing sit ups and Pilates type exercise won't shift fat.
Try walking fast for an hour every day. That works.

Bin sugar, and white carbs and limit your processed foods for six months and see how that goes.

Okay thanks for all the replies.

I don’t work for them!

I am active (run, walk, have started strength work and stretching…)
I made several changes to my diet a couple of years ago to address cholesterol rise due to cancer drugs. It worked.
It was a genuine question as I’ve never had a big tummy. I think there’s a slight undercurrent in several of these replies that I need to stop eating crap and get off my arse and exercise!

Anyway thanks for the replies. I’ll give It a wide berth

I'm sorry to hear of your cancer and it must be hard for oyu.

Weight distribution does change post meno when fat is stored on the tummy rather than the hips/ bum or thighs. But it's still fat.

Personally, the only thing that works for me is eating less. It's as much about portion size as what type of food.

Almost no sugar, no refined carbs, no UPF,
I restrict carbs to less than 50gms a day.
Usually one portion a day. That's either a few oat cakes OR brown rice/ wholegrain pasta or bread.
I eat around 8 portions of fruit and veg a day, Greek yoghurt and cottage cheese, a few nuts, mixed seeds on yoghurt, fish, chicken, lots of bean dishes, eggs, 2 squares 80% choc a day.

I do have puddings maybe once week but it's a very small portion.😂
