Has anyone else had the mirena coil removed when they think menopause is over?

Has anyone been through this? It’s been 3 days, had spotting which I expected. Just wondered if you had bleeding again? Not had a period since first coil 14 years ago . my symptoms stopped around 3-4 months ago so not had the patches on for a while now.

I had mine put in at 48, no further periods, Removed at 54 (covid intervened). They gave me a pack of pills to take for the following month if necessary but I never had another period so never took the pills.

Not sure if that's what you're asking, but that's my experience.

ETA That was my first and only coil (Mirena) I'd previously been on the pill, various brands,

Just wondering how you thought menopause was over? I was on tablet hrt but continued to have irregular periods so my nurse suggested mirena coil and gel. I havent had periods since and menopause symptoms are minor. Have now been happy with this treatment for 4 years but wondered when/ if there comes a point when you stop HRT?

Had Mirena coil for years with no periods. I had it changed when I was 52 and had some spotting so was sent for some checks. They removed it to poke about, decided all was OK and put a new one in.

I had it removed when I was 57 (2 years ago) and nothing since.

I think menopause was probably done a bit before that. I haven’t taken any HRT.

I thought the menopause was over because even though I was on meds I was still having some hot flushes and night sweats, much less but still some. I realised I’d not had them for a while, so just stopped to see what happened. Y GP said those with a coil won’t know so just see how you feel, and I thought I’d just stop patches and seemed fine, so next was remove the coil … had light bleeding yesterday, nothing heavy so far
