Hi guys, completely new here. I'm 18 and looking for some advice regarding transdermal patches. I've got endometriosis, pmdd, dysmenorrhoea and amenorrhea (heavy and painful periods). I tried out several birth control pills none of which worked right before being prescribed evorel stick on patches which has worked WONDERS, been on them about 2 years now. However.... I started working on a farm and with the heat and labour I've been sweating the patches off. Have any of you wise ladies got any ways you keep yours on? Desperate at this point. I learned a nifty little trick in here for removing any excess of the patches with baby oil, which has been a life saver. Thank you all xx

Hello OP, I was having troubles with my Estrogen patches until I discovered transparent film dressing. There are different kinds out there, I get mine from Amazon. I just cover my estrogen patch with it. I also sticks so much better so there is no black stain left behind after.

I hope this works for you.

I’m not quite clear when you are using the baby oil. If it’s after a patch is finished and you have removed it that’s fine.

All I can suggest is make sure the area you are applying the patch to, and your hands, are not just clean but free from any lotions or oil and use an alcohol wipe with no moisturiser to really prepare the area well.

For me I run the hair-dryer over it for a few seconds. Works really well for me.

I couldn't get on with the patches at all, and use oestrogel. You do have to apply it daily, but I slap it on as part of my bathroom routine and it's dried by the time I've cleaned my teeth. Nothing stuck to me, nothing peeling or dropping off me, no more adhesive grime, no more forgetting which day I'm supposed to change it.
