How many Evorel Conti patches do you get prescribed in one go?

I used to take oral HRT and would be prescribed 184 tablets at a time so it cost c£20 a year.

I have recently switched to Evorel Conti patches. My GP has only prescribed 24 patches so 12 weeks worth. I will need at least 4 prescriptions a year and it will cost c£40 a year.

Is 3 months of patches per prescription the standard amount or do you get prescribed 6 months supply in one go? Should I just request prescriptions twice as often and get the £20 HRT prescription prepayment certificate from here?

Just get the certificate, that's literally what it's for, you pay £20 for the year

And also to answer your question, yes I get them supplied three months at a time

My GP will only prescribe 1 month’s worth at a time. It’s the same for all medication at our practice.

I'm on Evorel rather than Evorel Conti and I get prescribed 3 months worth too (but only 2 months Utrogestan, no idea why).

The HRT prepay will also cover vaginal oestrogen if you ever need that.
