Does anyone else have oedema around the eyes?

Really swollen painful bulges of liquid that make me look about 20 years older first thing in the morning

Just wondering if this is a menopause thing or a thing I should get checked out more broadly

Not an expert in anyway but I’d think puffy eyes are normal as part of aging - I have them. But puffy eyes that are bulging and painful I would want to speak to a GP about in case there is something else going on there.

Is it sudden or has it been gradually building up? If it’s sudden definitely go to GP, soon as possible.

This sounds like it could be down to very poor circulation, or even kidney issues OP. If I were you I'd make an appointment with your GP to get you heart/kidneys checked over.

Do you eat a lot of salt? That can cause water retention.
