Onion armpits and Fussy deodorant

I am 51 and for the last few years find that in the hot weather I am getting the armpits that smell like onions.
I have heard Fussy deodorant is good for this as it has ingredients that counteract the bacteria that causes the smell.
Have people found it good? Seems expensive.

It's only in the summer when it's really hot. Normal deodorant works fine the rest of the time.

Thanks

Agree with proper soap. Game changer.

Make sure it’s soap soap, and not “shower bar” like dove.

I also use 2x deodorants - 1 is a clear wet spray from Nivea, then other is a Sure/Rexona dry spray. That along with the soap seems to get rid of my BO.

None of them, just wipe some glycolic acid on a cotton pad after you’ve washed and before regular deodorant. It’s inexpensive and readily available in the skincare section of most chemists.
