Travelling abroad with HRT

Hi all, I’m due to go on holiday soon and realised it’s the first time I need to take my hrt with me, I believe I’m ok with the progesterone tablets but am worried about the gel being confiscated at the airport. I think Gatwick is ok on liquids over 100ml so might only be the way back which can deal with, but what happens if they take it on my way out? I can’t go a week without it… any suggestions? Thought about decanting it into a travel bottle but then won’t have the pump doses, maybe I can guesstimate the amount?

Pull up the prescription on your NHS app at security and pop it in the tray separate to everything else. It's a prescribed medication which is exempt from the liquids rule.

I take the whole gel dispenser in the original box which had the pharmacy label on with my name etc. I put it into the security tray with the bag of liquids (next to it, not inside the bag). I have done several trips to various European countries and Canada and haven’t had any issues - once a security person had a good look at it but that was it. I also worried about it beforehand but it was fine.

There are 80gms in the bottle (it's on the packaging.)
gms=mls- so it's under the limit.
It's 80mls.

I flew from Gatwick to Hurghada at Easter with the gel and brought it back - all fine.

Ive just taken the oestrogen on 2 different flights and it was absolutely fine.

Thank you. I just assumed it was over 100ml. My bottle says 80g=100ml so that’s perfect. No idea why I didn’t check! Doh. I’ll take it in the box anyway just to be sure.
