Did your cycle get shorter?

All my life I have had a regular and fairly long cycle - say 30 days.

Just got my period today. The last one only stopped a couple of weeks ago.

Mine started getting shorter a decade ago I’m 46, it’s possible you can still have shorter cycles for a good few years yet.

Yes. I was regularly every 22-23 days ( short I know but it was reliable) this month has been 17 days.

Yes. Shorter, then longer, then normal, then heavier, then lighter. Just became erratic then settled then erratic again. Lasted about 7 years for me, with the last couple of years seeing me wearing a panty liner 'just in case' as I had no idea when my next period was going to happen.

I’m 44, and for the last 2 years I’ve monitored my cycle which has gradually gone from 28-31 days to 21-25 days. My period is also lighter (was previously a very heavy bleeder) and it also a lot shorter; 2 days max instead of 4-5 days.

Cycle length largely unchanged, but bleeding pattern (heavy/light days) changed and bleeding lasting longer.

It can change in any direction, but the shared characteristic is that it does change from your previous normal.

Yes, around 6/7 years ago (mid-30s) it went from 30 days to 21-24 days and very light almost non-existent.

Then they got very heavy for a while.

HRT seemed to send it back to a very regulated 27 days moderate, but now they're very short and light.

Yes. Lately I seem to be on a 3 week cycle. It's a pain.

Yes, definitely. I'm 44 and my cycle has been getting shorter since I was about 40. When I was in my 30s it was usually 28-30 days, now it's 22-26. Much shorter as well, used to be 7 days, now more like 3-4. More painful too.
