Could a missing HRT patch cause harm if a child found it?

Hi - I am only 4 patches in to HrT. Put a new patch on today after showering. Got changed earlier and it’s gone. Not on my trousers. Can’t find it on the floor. I am not trying to reapply. I have tow boys 5 and 10 and am worried they will find it/ get it stuck to them. Have checked them/ told them.

if it did get stuck to them would it cause them harm? Any tips on finding it?!

If it’s fallen off you that would infer it has lost its stickiness and is therefore unlikely to stick to anyone else. They generally roll up when they come off I find.

best way to keep them stuck on is to apply to warm dry skin straight out of the shower, definitely no moisturiser. I always hold my hand over the patch to give the glue a proper chance to stick. Only ever lost one patch in 3 years and that was on holiday when I was in and out of the sea.

I can't imagine it would be a problem and, as @TipsyLaird says, if it's fallen off it's lost the stickiness and is probably rolled up on itself - that would probably explain why you can't find it.

I mean they’d have to find it , somehow get it stuck to them flat down, not notice it AND have it on long enough to actually transfer some hormones to them

and even then I can’t see what the damage would be, it’s HRT not fentanyl

i reckon you’re fine

Also mine are always down the side of the bed or on the kitchen floor tucked near the skirting - bet yours is too

Thanks all. I appreciate the logic and reassurance. Living with a partner I am divorcing at the moment and this plus the heat has addled my brain!
