Hi all, just started using testogel - does anyone havr any tips for storage? It says room temperature, but it's crystallised!

Following as not sure either! Pharmacist said don’t need to keep it in the fridge (as a forum I’m on they tend to suggest this) but it does need to be below 25 degrees. In this weather that prob is in the fridge then?
I haven’t opened or started mine yet. Building up to it even though has taken me over a year to get on the NHS.

I’d be googling to see….

I've been googling but it's just the room temperature advice so hoping for some tips!

Oh ok - hopefully someone will stop by. Where are you applying it & are you finding it difficult to get an eighth out each time? Not sure what’s holding me back from starting. Do you do it a.m or pm?

Gardeningsideeffects · 25/05/2026 12:20

I just leave it on bedside table or in my makeup bag. I used a food clip for the first couple of years, now I don't bother.

It still works.

Also I've never put it in the fridge. My bedroom is 22degrees during the day in the heatwave so not warm enough to cause issues anyway.

But I've taken it abroad and not had any issues.

I mean I aim for a pea size blob, but not always accurate. But the earth doesn't stop turning if it's slightly more or slightly less.

Sometimes I forget to use it anyway so it all evens out.

I do find that if I use it religiously for a few weeks I have to cut back for a while as the effects are too intense.

Good to know @Gardeningsideeffects thanks.
Effects being libido or mood /anger?

CremeDeSudo · 25/05/2026 13:15

I'm only on my first week! Been using it in the evening, in various spots on my bum. No issues yet, not sure I've noticed any changes yet either, but not a week yet!

Just occurred to me I haven't held it closed with a peg so will try that. Not sure how I'm meant to make it last atm though!

Effects being insatiable horniness.

To the point I'm thinking about sex at work. Too much!

Also I've had a couple of occasions wherr my nipples have started to hurt and gone past pleasant sensation. For a week or so at a time.

I used it on my thigh for the first year or so, then discovered my inner arm near my armpit was significantly more effective. And no hair growth at application site.

I got zero guidance from GP on this. Picked most of it up on mumsnet.
