Sleep problems after switching from Evorel Sequi to Mirena and oestrogen patches

I started HRT in December. Evorel Sequi 50. Main symptoms of early waking / insomnia and brain fog improved pretty quickly and I was consistently sleeping through the night for the first time in years. Could cope with my busy life again.

At three month review the nurse suggested I switch to Mirena plus Evorel oestrogen patches. Said this was the gold standard and as I needed to replace my copper coil anyway I happily agreed.

Two weeks later, I can’t bloody sleep. I’ve woken at 3am every night for the past week.

What is going on? Was it the systemic progesterone of the Sequi patches that was making me sleep? What can I do? Desperate to sleep. Help.

So hard to say, I seem to be struggling with sleep on Micronized Progesterone which is supposed to be gold standard for helping sleep. Its so different for everyone. I have people recommending the Mirena to me but I'd so worried it will cause sleep issues and I'll be stuck with it for however long it takes to get out. You have my upmost sympathy as if all this wasn't hard enough to not be able to sleep is just utter misery!
