Unexpected bleeding while on the mini pill and patches

Have been on the mini pill and patches for about three years. Bleeding started on Friday, quite heavy, not reducing, dull ache too. Will contact doctor tomorrow but just wondering if anyone else has had this? Trying not to worry but being on the pill I don’t usually have periods and this has come out of the blue. Don’t want to be TMI but lots of ‘matter’ too.

I had something similar but with the implant they wanted to make sure I had no underlying infection and i was told this could happen if going into early menopause, I'm not being referred they think it might endometriosis as I have a lot of symptoms, just make sure you note any symptoms you have and tell the doctor you want it looked into
