Progesterone

Morning, I've just realised that I haven't taken my progesterone tablets for 3 days. I took them this morning. I don't have periods as I have the mirena coil.

do I just carry on the 2 a day until I finish or do I pretend I've take the three days and finish as I should have?

Many Thanks

It depends why you're using them as well as having a Mirena coil.

Your womb lining is protected by the Mirena so presumably you have another health issue- how is it going to be impacted by missing Utrogestan?

Cant advise without knowing the whole situation.

I have them as my coil has been in coming up 7 years. So when it's changed next month I can stop them

Missing 2 days is not going to be a problem for one month. It's fine either way- either carry on for an extra 2 days or miss those days.

BTW the coil is only licensed as use of HRT for 5 years so your GP should have prescribed a progesterone right from the start. I assume you wanted to start HRT asap and they can't change the coil immediately?

They can't change it at the surgery so it has to be the family planning and they wouldn't do it until it expired which was 7 years. I'm aware it's 5 years for HRT hence the progesterone now. I'm just shit at remembering to take it- spray I remember no problem!
