Is severe tiredness and anxiety normal when starting HRT patches?

I need some advice please! I started HRT just over a week ago - evorel patches (50mgs), and a vaginal oestrogen cream. I have not started utrogestan tablets yet, will start them in about two weeks, and then will alternate two weeks on and two weeks off from that point.

my main symptoms up until this point was a short cycle, quite severe pains in my feet and hands, and bad vaginal dryness and soreness - meaning I was totally turned off from sex.

Is it normal to feel unbelievably exhausted when starting these oestrogen patches and creams? I am struggling to do anything at all as I am so tired, and I’m also feeling incredibly anxious and irritable. DH tried to initiate sex last night (I think he was hoping that a week into HRT I’d be “fixed) and I bit his head off.

is this normal? How long will this last and what can I do about it?! I’m currently feeling worse than I did before - as still have the other symptoms (though the dryness has already improved a bit) but now also have the fatigue and anxiety.
