Uterine twitching

This is so random. I started on HRT one week ago - evorel 50 patches changed twice per week, 200mg progesterone capsules for 11 days. I'm not noticing any difference so far apart from definite bloating/water retention.

Today though, my womb has started twitching?! It feels like when you're like 25-30 weeks pregnant and can feel the baby kicking, but not so forceful as in the last trimester. I can even see the movements from the outside 😱 it's not painful at all, just really flipping weird.

Is this a HRT side effect? There's nothing mentioned on the nhs website or the leaflets in the medication box. I'm definitely not pregnant (had internal scan a few weeks ago and also having periods every other week and thoroughly contraceptioned up on the rare occasions I don't feel too awful to have sex).

@BloodyBoilingInHere HRT can bring your uterus 'to life' with some cramps or periods like pains but not actually moving enough to see it. IME. If you're coming to the end of the progesterone phase you can get pre-bleeding type cramps.

Thanks. It doesn't hurt at all. It's not period pain or contraction like. It's really weird and disconcerting. I'll assume it is related to HRT.

Hopefully I start seeing some benefits to taking it soon.
