Can HRT cause body odour?

I've had an increase in BO, basically reverting back to how it was in my teenage years, having been someone who could honestly skip the deodorant for the past 20 years. It seemed to coincide with starting HRT in Feb, but in trying to find confirmation via Googling I can only find results relating to perimenopause being the cause and that HRT usually resolves it. Does anyone have any insights/experience?

I don!t know. Not my experience. What has seemed to have improved my BO is improvising my diet - I now eat at Mediterranean-style diet with lots of veg, lean protein, not too many carbs (because i can’t exercise much) and lots of olive oil and nuts.

No, HRT doesn't cause body odour. Sweating a lot in peri with symptoms etc will unless you use a good deodorant..

No evidence to back this but I think menopause can change the smell of your body odour and also increase your sensitivity to smells.
