HRT and heavy bleeding

Hi all, second try on HRT at 61 (10 years post menopause) to help with osteoporosis.
Evorel 75 patches with daily 100mg progesterone.
Heavy bleeding after 3.5 months with period pains. This stopped once I removed the patch.
I tried again 2 weeks later with same result.
Unfortunately this happened with my first attempt at HRT in 2021. Ended with a scan showing thickened lining which had resolved by the time I had a hysteroscopy 6 months later.
Anyone else had this? Maybe I should go down to 50? Or give up?

@theicemaidenismelting , have you spoken to your GP about this? Mine sent me for a scan which was fine but I’ve now had a Mirena coil fitted to provide the progesterone. I’m taking Mounjaro and this is recommended because the Mounjaro interferes with the progesterone absorption. I wouldn’t mess around yourself with doses.

I am waiting for an appointment with the GP I have seen previously but it’s a long wait!
They offered me a Mirena when they did the hysteroscopy but I refused as I had used them for 15 years previously and wanted a break.
Yes I will wait to see the GPbefore deciding. Just wondered if anyone else had a similar issue.

I have just moved down to evorel 25 patch with 100mg micronised progesterone due to regular spotting pattern on evorel conti. Not suggesting you go so low. Only just started so some spotting now...fingers crossed pattern stops!
I've been told increasing progesterone to estrogen ratio may help. Is your 'gap' big enough for you?

Sounds like your progesterone needs increasing. Irregular bleeding can happen in the first 6 months of going on continuous HRT as the hormones are settling down.
