Been on hrt for 2yrs and love it but have def put on weight. Trying to curb eating and struggling with carbs and bloating. Has anyone tried nutrition geeks apple cider vinegar capsules? Do they make any difference.

What’s a typical day of eating like? If you’re absolutely honest with yourself!

You don’t need the capsules. Just buy some apple cider vinegar and have a tablespoon of it in water before you eat.

Thepott2 not good with breakfast so sometimes a banana. Lunch usually a sandwich at work. Dinner with family usually home-cooked and decent without fried food or too many carbs. I know my downfall is crisps completely and sometimes chocolate so have gone cold turkey on those .

Somanychristmaslights myworry is that it could cause enamel problems. Have read warnings about this in a few places.

You drink it diluted enough and through a straw.

Willy's ACV in the morning mixed with water and using a straw is my morning saviour. Sounds counter intuitive but thanks to YouTube I learnt not to take anti acids - but to increase the acidity as we need stomach acid to be ph1 or we aren't digesting efficiently. That's helped me hugely. I was going for endoscopies for the pain as couldn't eat anything.

I now have 3 meals a day and no snacking or any processed foods. Can't drink alcohol or eat anything rich... Also now space my meals to allow for digestion - so no eating anything for 5 hours between meals. So 5 hours after your last mouthful of breakfast - start lunch - and then 5 hours later the evening meal. I set an alarm on my phone. I can't eat beyond 7pm these days either. All that has helped with my seriously debilitating gastric issues. And a probiotic - histamine friendly one from somewhere I can't remember at the moment but ... think they are based in Ireland.

Just started taking the capsules. So following with interest! Interestingly didn’t have a craving for chocolate or biscuits today. Which is unlike me!

I’ve been taking ACV capsules and I do think it makes a difference. Particularly to the afternoon snacking (I wfh most of the week and it’s so easy to resort to 🍫 at 3pm). I know the scientific evidence is scarce but I do feel less tempted by the snacks (when I remember to take the capsules of course 😄)
