Will vaginal oestrogen help with loss of sensation during sex?

Just wanted to know if vaginal estrogen will help with loss of sensitivity and sensation. I do lubricate during foreplay, but then also have to use added lubrication to continue. Sex isn't painfull, but its more a loss in sensation, almost numbness. Is this normal? Will it change? Im 51 and still want to have a healthy enjoyable relationship. I did see the doctor and at the time my BP was high and on the causious side I was asked to monitor at home for 7 days. Im due to see the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully she won't refuse to give me the prescription. I don't know what will help other then to try the vaginal estrogen. If it doesn't work, then there clearly iz a underlining problem

Did you post last week ish about your GP wanting to do a BP test for a week before vaginal estrogen?

That's unnecessary and if you want to you can buy it over the counter anyway- called Ovesse.

No idea about loss of sensation but the answer is 'probably'.

Ime, yes it will OP. Apart from internal cream or pessary, you need to use the cream all over your vulva. There's a three week loading dose for both and after that you're supposed to use vaginal/vulval oestrogen 2 to 3 times a week for maintenance.
I use a pea sized amount of the cream on around my clitoris daily though.
It has definitely worked for me, but its not an instant fix.

You might also want to consider and/or Intrarosa.
