Pro-longed periods

I’ve started having 2 week heavy periods every month since being on HRT and progesterone. It’s really getting me down. I’m thinking of coming off it. Anyone else had same experience?

You should talk to your GP about trying a different type or dose. But do some online reading /research first so you can go in prepared and maybe make some suggestions over what you want.

The bleeding for 2 weeks is not acceptable and obviously no fun!
You probably need more progesterone- you've not said what type of hrt and the dose.

If you're using Utrogestan, you may need 300mgs (3 tablets) on 14 days or you could try a lower dose of estrogen.
Or there is the option of a Mirena coil.
