Vaginal oestrogen help

Any advice welcome! I started the cream and then got thrush which I treated. Next had a raging UTI, on my second course of antibiotics for it
could the oestrogen be causing the thrush? I feel like I should be using it because of the UTI…

if there is any typos, I can’t actually see my post because of a site glitch so bear with me…

I had 5 UTI on the trot during the menopause and it was awful. Eventually they grew a culture and it was a nasty persistent little bugger and I need very specific antibiotics which I then took for 12 weeks as it was a persistent bugger. After I took the pessaries every day for 3 weeks and still take them twice a week. It changed my life.

Also I took oral treatment for thrush every 3 weeks prescribed by GP and did the pessaries for 3 weeks (vaginal oestrogen) whilst I was on antibiotics.

With me the GP was like it’s the vaginal walls thinning and that is causing the UTI so we need to hit it with everything. She also gave me canestan cream which I found soothing.

I'm fine with the wee vaginal tablets, but get thrush from the cream.

Just wanted to tag into this thread after a PP mentioned the blue tubes. I'm a bit aghast at the amount of plastic waste that these produce, but I have seen a SM American video with tablets and a reusable applicator, the nurse who does my HRT doesn't think it's a thing here though?

I get this but you are only supposed to rinse it and let it air dry and for me if you have a UTI it’s not sterile after the first use when you put it up inside so I was concerned about reintroducing infection

Urine isn't sterile. A penis isn't sterile. So cleaning my applicator in the shower with soap every day doesn't worry me.
