Could sudden dry skin at 42 be related to menopause?

Hi, since around the age of 11 I've suffered with uncontrollable oily skin and acne. I've been on accutane and this didn't work. I'm now 42 and suddenly have really dry patches, to the point of peeling falky skin. This is on both eyelids and a small patch under my chin. I haven't changed any of my skincare products I've always moisturisered using a non-comegedic moisturiser. I'm wondering why if this is maybe the start of menopause? It's such a dramatic change in my skin so just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar?

I'm 43 and my eczema has flared up recently. It did that when I went through puberty, when I came off the pill and when I got pregnant so I thought this flare up might be due to the start of peri. I haven't really had any other major symptoms though.

Hi OP. Yeah, nothing would surprise me when it comes to menopause symptoms, and I’m pretty sure dry skin is a symptom. I’m certainly much more itchy than I used to be!

Perimenopause has heralded a kick off of periocular dermatitis for me. Both eyelids dry out and split, along with the corners, under my nose and sides of my mouth. It goes down my chin too. I have always been pretty dry but this is something else! I am about your age, OP.
I now can't put anything except azelaic acid on my face.
