Bleeding earlier on cyclical HRT, should I speak to the GP?

I’ve been on HRT for two years now, I started it quite young at 42 as I was getting very heavy periods, intense vulva itching, anxiety and lack of energy. I take two pumps of estrogel and then take two utrogestan from days 16-26. I then would have a withdrawal bleed from around day 28.

However for the last three months or so I’ve started bleeding whilst taking the utrogestan. Last month it was day 25. This month day 26.

is this normal or something I should speak to the GP about? They’ve not been very helpful or supportive of me being on HRT so far so I’m loathe to contact them (I was prescribed it by my old GP and then moved area and my new GP tried to take me off). I’ve already been investigated for spotting through my cycle but nothing odd showed up on an ultrasound so they left it there but now, rather than spotting randomly across my cycle, I’m having a proper period type bleed earlier.

Do I speak to the GP? Should I stop taking the utrogestan when I start bleeding? I’m a bit lost.

It's not a problem. Utrogestan is not the strongest progesterone and sometimes it does lead to earlier bleeding. A few days early isn't an issue but you need to finish the course regardless of early bleeding.
You could try taking the tablets with food as this doubles its efficacy.
