Everol Sequi not working after 6 months - now what?

Been on Everol Sequi since end of August 2025 - for the first 6 months it worked like a dream, was v smug that all of my peri symptoms seemed to have vanished. And then in February 2026, the symptoms started crawling back in - brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, and then in the past fortnight, broken sleep. I spoke to my GP in March who gave me some Everol 25 to supplement the other patches, but they don't seem to have done much and I'm also wondering about the need for more progesterone to match the increased estradiol.

Has anyone experienced this and what did you do? I hopefully have a call with my GP later today and want to be able to ask for the right thing. Thank-you x

I went onto estradiol gel, initially took progesterone but now have a Mirena. I also use Tostran testosterone gel

What dose patches are you on?

Were you on Evorel patch 50mcg and now you've had a 25mcg patch added?

Is that a patch with Norethisterone in it as well? Or is it just estrogen?

Progesterone has no role in managing symptoms - it's there to protect the womb lining, stopping it growing too thickly.
If the 25mcg patches have progesterone for 14 days too, that could be why you're feeling worse. You don't need more progesterone with 75mcg patch.

You could always swap to estrogen gel, so you can manage the dose yourself (up or down) and either use a tablet form of Norethisterone x 12 days a month, or take micronised progesterone 12 days a month.

Have a chat to your GP about this?

@JinglingSpringbells Everol Sequi only comes in one dosage: 2 weeks of 3.2mg of estradiol (Everol 50), followed by 2 weeks of 3.2mg estradiol + 11.2mg norethisterone (Everol Conti). I've added to this Everol 25, so an extra 1.6mg of estradiol with each dose - no extra norethisterone.

Wondering about the gel + tablet version, also whether I should add some testosterone to the mix.
