Recommendations for online clinics?

Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for menopause/hormone clinics that do online consultations? Ideally for nuanced cases?

Will be doing some research too, but just wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere

Is there a reason you can't see anyone in person?

My advice would be to consider finding the best person for your needs, maybe a menopause gynaecologist, and see if they also offer online consultations. Start with where you live, look at private hospitals, and the British Menopause Society website under Specialists.

Specialists all have their own areas of expertise- menopause, fertility, surgery, PCOS etc etc. The best can do all of those!

There are zillions of online clinics now but many are 'only' GPs who have a little extra experience in menopause. That isn't to say they aren't any good, but they do tend to charge the same fee as consultants, usually around £300 for the first appt. Most will prescribe what you could get from your GP - one of the many variations of HRT- so you need someone with a lot of experience.

Unless you're completely unable to travel, it's often better to have an in-person appt first because it's more 'personal'. I had a few online appts with my consultant during Covid but I'd been seeing them in person for years anyway and it is different doing it online.

Berkshire Menopause Clinic. She is amazing and won loads of awards

@Iydrdshe sounds great thank you!

@JinglingSpringbellsthanks for tips, I'll definitely start with the British Menopause Society. There don't seem to be a great many specialists near me, and I'm not the most confident driver so would adding on train cost!

I saw her online having been ignored by GP. She prescribed then wrote a letter to NHS GP surgery and they now take over the prescription. I now see a different GP and care has been taken over by her

For example, the last 'specialist' I saw near me dismissed my concerns of estrogen dominance and when I raised concerns about a non existent libido (in my 30s), she implied it was my husband's fault.

I need to do my research because I don't want a repeat of this experience!

Hang on OP you are in your 30's ? I mean ot could be menopause, but unlikely are you still having periods ?

No I'm 44 now but had a hysterectomy 6yrs ago..this is why I say I need someone experienced with nuanced cases because no onr wants to prescribe me anything other than estrogen and I suspect I'm estrogen dominant! Libido has been an issue as long as I can remember. I'm really hoping it's a hormonal issue that can magically be fixed somehow. Recent blood test showed high-ish shbg, so that could be why
