Acne flaring after progesterone with sequential HRT, any solutions?

Started oestrogen gel and progesterone (sequential). Have a history of acne and is really flaring up with progesterone. Even have a small cyst. Has anyone had this/ found a solution?

As soon as I went on hrt my cystic acne started to come back. My doctor (also female and my age with same issue) was very sympathetic and prescribes me lymecycline to take alongside the hrt (I’m on the patches). It keeps it at bay. I don’t really like the idea of being on it long term but she does regular blood tests to keep an eye on my liver function and I find the hrt really beneficial so don’t want to come off it

I have some acne with HRT to be fair it never really went away but last month I had two small cysts and one larger cyst on my chin not fun. I use tretinoin and it helps a bit.
