Testogel dosing

I have been prescribed testogel by my doctor. I have been given 40.5 milligram sachets and have been told to use an eighth of a sachet per day. It's impossible to dose this by eye. Also I have concerns about leaving the sachets open for multiple days. I'm requesting advice from my doctor as to how to proceed but was wondering if anybody else has been in this situation and how you dealt with this.

When I used Testogel I used a sandwich clip thing to keep the sachet closed tight between days. I wouldn’t worry too much about the dose being an exact eight of a sachet. Just put a pea sized blob on each day and try and make sure that it lasts around eight days. If it runs out quicker just put a smaller blob on for the next sachet. The total dose over a week is more important than the precise daily dose.

I just made sure that the packet lasted 8 days. Some days slightly higher, some days lower - but average over the 8 days was what mattered

I felt completely the same when I started on this! As PP have said, you gradually get used to the size of the blob of gel which counts as roughly 1/8.
I realised that snipping one corner of the sachet off gave me more control over how much gel I was squeezing out. I use a small clip to seal the sachet shut in between uses.

I’m using tostran. Each pump is 10mg so using 4 times a week. I think it doesn’t matter if some days a little more and another a little less. Just start a new sachet every 8 days. Some people decant into a syringe for more accurate dosing so that’s also an option.

Use a little bulldog clip to keep it closed between doses as it’s alcohol based and evaporates if left open. But as pp have said, don’t worry too much about getting the doses completely even. You won’t grow a moustache overnight if you use too much.
