Confused about switching from Evorel Sequi 50 to Evorel 25 with Mirena

Been on Evorel Sequi 50 for the past 18 months. All good, but sick fed up of long and heavy periods.

Recently got a mirena coil fitted. Dr has prescribed Evorel 25 as the estrogen component, which I'm confused by. Didn't realise until I picked it up from the chemist, so no chance to ask the Dr. I assumed it would be Evorel 50 - surely 25 is a lower dose?

Unless gp has discussed lowering your dose, it must be a mistake. You can just use two patches instead of one until you can speak to them.

This will be the third time since getting the coil fitted I've had to chase up the prescription. First I didn't get prescribed any patches at all, then they prescribed Sequi 50 same as before, then they gave me Evorel 25.

No mention of lowering the dose. Wasn't sure if somehow the mirena meant a lower grade patch. I'll use 2 patches until I get the prescription changed. Thanks for the tip.
