Phantosmia (dull burning smell) in Peri/menopause?

Is anyone else experiencing this? I definitely don’t have Covid, but I’ve noticed my sense of smell has been impacted in the last few weeks. I can smell things as normal, but there is like a muted burning smell (not real). I started HRT 2.5 months ago.

My DH had this and he was found to have a pituitary issue.
Google it and see your GP for MRI.

I had this and now mainly get it before my period. Mainly went away on HRT. Would get it checked out if new for you though.

There are so many different signs and symptoms that can be attributed to menopause, that it sometimes means that other medical causes are not investigated.

I had a review with the doc in two weeks so will definitely mention it. Thank you. ChatGPT suggested a saline nasal spray and that’s seemed to have worked really well today!
